NostalgiaCam makes every photo look like it came off a mid-2000s digital point-and-shoot: blown-out flash, cool shadows, a little noise, and the orange date stamp in the corner. You see the look live in the viewfinder, before you take the shot.

Questions
Where do my photos go?
Every shot is saved to your Photos library at full resolution, in Recents, with camera-style file names like NCAM0042.JPG. NostalgiaCam also keeps its own copies of your last 50 shots, so you can look back, share, or delete them without leaving the app. Tap the thumbnail next to the shutter to open them.
Why isn’t there a NostalgiaCam album in Photos?
NostalgiaCam only asks for permission to add photos. It never asks to see your library. Creating an album would need full access to your photos, and we’d rather not ask for that.
How do I change or turn off the date stamp?
Tap MENU in the top-right corner. You can turn the date stamp off, or pick the order: year first (’26 09 24), month first, or day first. It always uses the date each photo is taken.
What are Party, Daylight, and Night?
They’re scene modes, like on an old camera. Pick one under the viewfinder or swipe sideways across it. Each has its own look and sets the flash to suit: Party turns the flash on, Daylight sets it to auto, and Night turns it off. You can still change the flash with the button in the top-left corner.
How do I turn off the beep?
Tap MENU and switch off Focus Beep. Silent mode mutes it too. The shutter click itself is played by iOS, not by NostalgiaCam.
It says camera access is off.
Open the Settings app, scroll down to NostalgiaCam, and turn on Camera.
It says a photo was “kept in NostalgiaCam only.”
That means Photos access is off, so the shot couldn’t be added to your library. It’s still safe in NostalgiaCam’s own gallery. To fix it, open Settings → NostalgiaCam → Photos and choose Add Photos Only. Then open the gallery in the app and tap Save to Photos on any shot that isn’t there yet.
If I delete a photo in the app, is it gone from Photos too?
No. Deleting in NostalgiaCam only removes the app’s own copy. The photo stays in your Photos library, where you can delete it as usual.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No. NostalgiaCam works entirely on your iPhone, with no account, no ads, and no subscription. It never connects to the internet.
